Shakespeare in Action

Sponsored by Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) since 2018, 'Shakespeare in Action' English Drama in Practice Project is a year long English drama programme for the secondary and primary schools interested in learning Shakespeare through the medium of English Drama and putting it into action. Each year, there is carefully and specially chosen Shakespearean text in which participating students read, analyse and learn about Shakespeare to nurture their interest and build appreciation in English Drama as well as building up self confidence. The programme includes attending a professional theatre show with a backstage tour and going through 24 hours classes which comprises of backstage tour, drama workshops, audition and rehearsal, concluded with a performance experience at a professional performance venue.
