What is the Gala Production? 

Every young person has a story worth telling. At Shakespeare4All, drama is more than performance, it is a chance for the young people to be seen, build confidence, and grow in ways that last beyond the final curtain.

The Gala Production 2026 brings together over 100 young people, with 60 cast members aged 8 to 16, and more youth musicians and backstage assistants for a transformative 6-week journey of rehearsing and performing a full-scale Shakespeare play in English. Supported by professional theatre artists, live orchestral music, stunning costumes, and professional lighting, the Production will culminate in three public performances at a public theatre, where family and community can witness the confidence, creativity, and teamwork they have developed together.

About the Story

This year’s Gala Production 2026 ‘As You Like It: Tales from Olympus’ reimagines Shakespeare’s timeless comedy through the world of Greek mythology. Step into Olympus, where gods command the skies and mortals challenge fate. In this myth-inspired telling, the Forest of Arden becomes a realm of exile, transformation, and wonder, as divine mischief collides with human hopes, testing ideas of identity, change, and freedom.

甚麼是週年匯演？

每一位年輕人，都有一個值得被聽見的故事。在香港小莎翁，戲劇不只是表演，而是讓年輕人被看見、建立自信的契機，讓他們在劇終謝幕後仍然繼續成長。

週年匯演2026 邀請100位年輕人，包括 60 位8至16歲的年輕演員，以及一班年輕樂手和後台助理，展開一段為期 6 星期的蛻變旅程：他們在暑假一同以英語排練一部完整的莎士比亞戲目。在專業劇場人士指導、現場管弦樂團演奏、華麗服裝與專業燈光的配合下，年輕演員最後將在劇院進行三場公開演出﹐讓親朋好友和大眾人士親眼見證他們在這個夏天建立的自信、創意與團隊合作成果。

關於故事

今年的週年匯演2026《如你所願：奧林匹斯傳說》，將莎士比亞經典喜劇，透過希臘神話的世界重新想像。觀眾將走進奧林匹斯 - 一個眾神掌管天空，凡人也敢於挑戰命運的世界。故事以神話為靈感，讓亞登森林化身成一片流亡、蛻變與奇妙的領域；當神靈的捉弄遇上人類的期待，舞台將帶你思考：何謂身份認同、轉變以及自由。
