Shakespeare4All (S4A), a charity founded in 2003 by Dr. Vicki Ooi has since produced eight full-length professional Gala productions in English with a total of 800 students from a diverse range of schools. A further 5000 students have benefitted from S4A’s daring, ground-breaking and high quality drama classes. Now, from September 2011, in association with the internationally renowned Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre (the Globe) in London, we are presenting a whole new drama learning adventure ---- the Shakespeare4All Learning & Participation Festival 2011-12, the first total Shakespeare drama Showcase & Learning Competition for primary and secondary schools in Hong Kong. A Learning Competition is one in which the amount of learning achieved is as important as the competition. S4A’s vision is to “Inspire young people to aspire to excellence” and to provide them with an enriching life experience through quality Shakespearean drama in English. In this brand new and unique festival with in-school Shakespearean drama training by S4A tutors and special workshops led by teaching artists from the Globe in London, schools will be able to showcase on stage for all students what they learnt throughout the year, followed by a learning competition- in which students’ understanding of the Shakespearean play will be assessed! 香港小莎翁 (簡稱小莎翁)為黃清霞博士於2003年成立的慈善團體。成立至今，小莎翁共製作了8套專業長篇英語匯演，由不同學校共800位學生參與演出；同時，小莎翁創新、高質素的戲劇課堂讓另外5000位學生受惠。今年九月，小莎翁將夥拍位於倫敦的世界知名莎士比亞環球劇場，呈獻一個嶄新的戲劇學習歷程--- 小莎翁學習及體驗計劃2011-12，此為首個於香港中小學舉辦的莎士比亞表演及學習比賽。同學可透過比賽促進學習，相得益彰。 透過學習及體驗計劃，我們希望學生力爭上游，以莎劇目豐富人生經驗。在此嶄新及獨特的學習計劃，小莎翁導師將提供駐校莎士比亞戲劇培訓，環球劇場的演員導師更會親臨教授工作坊。學校最後會參與演出，展現過往一年的學習成果；同學對莎劇的詮釋更會在隨後的學習比賽中得到專業評核。
